I love Wilco. Maybe it has something to with my affection for manly country acts acting sensitive; ala Gram Parsons, but I love Wilco. So I guess it was really no surprise when I fell in love with Sky Blue Sky. It’s fantastic; the dynamics hit me in all the right places. The songs hit all the same details. Love, loss, hiding from the people you love, and “why the hell is touring such a chore.” I’ll give you a hint: it’s the fans, Jeff. Jeff Tweedy’s voice is spot on and it seems he’s recovered fully since his last visit to rehab. So far I love it as much as any suburban kid can really love a country album with teary eyed roots.
