First, it was Adam Green’s “Jessica [Simpson].” Then it was Spank Rock’s “Linsday Lohan’s Revenge.” Now? The almost obnoxiously-happy Swedish super-[duper]-group I’m From Barcelona paid homage to everyone’s favorite part-time mom, part-time pop star, and full-time train wreck, Britney Spears, with a new song to kick off the summer, simply titled “Britney.” It is catchy, needless to say, but I am still trying to figure out if they are mocking her or genuinely defending her. Either way, let’s just hope the band members don’t actually shave their heads; wigs and hair weaves would just not cut it. Oh yes, that pun was purely intended.
