Person Pitch We saw it coming, Panda Bear’s Person Pitch is the big cd this week. Old samples and loops swirling on and on and on with reverb heavy vocals done in that old school Beach Boys manner. The hype surrounding the album on blogs and forums at the moment may be rather heavy but that is only expected for an album so well done.

Radiohead also showed up this week by re-releasing their ep Airbag : How Am I Driving?. The disc originally released in 1998 as a limited North American exclusive became one of the most sought out discs in the band’s out of print catalogue. I was lucky enough to get the ep when it first came out and have to say it has grown very close to me over the years. Pearly* and Polyethylene are two of the band’s best b-sides. Plus the ep contains the song Palo Alto which was titled “Ok Computer” while the band was recording the album. If Palo Alto had not been cut and renamed the album Ok Computer might have had a title track.
