How It Started
Better than Disco was once a tiny blog hidden in the deepest corners of the internet on a free server.
I more or less started the blog for my own amusement due to massive amounts of boredom. The original idea was to write about anything that is better than disco, movies, news, television, etc... not just music. Eventually music became the main focus of my blogging and the name stuck. Did this mean that Better than Disco would become a music blog? No. Just mostly...
Some time passed by, and a few of my friends joined up and started sharing their writings on Better than Disco. With the workings of what appeared to be a writing team in sight, we decided to try this thing out and see where it takes us.
It has been almost one year now since we moved on to our own server, bought a dot-com, and we aren’t looking back.
With 2008 here, Betterthandisco.com has a brand new look, bigger staff, and new sections.

1.We are not paid in any way to write (it is our hobby)
2.If there are ads on the site, they are helping offset server costs.
3.We do not take donations at this time, but perhaps one day we will.
